Kristyn M. Billings, CPC, CPB, CHP, HCA, MHRM is the Owner and CEO of Triple B Billing & Consulting, Inc. Kristyn is a Certified Professional Coder, Certified Professional Biller, and a Certified HIPAA Professional with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Health Care Administration and a Master's Degree in Human Resource Management. Kristyn has been working in the health care industry since 1997 in a variety of capacities from small health care offices to large professional offices having 10 or more medical professionals to insurance companies to teaching administration in the college nursing programs. She has the unique position of understanding all sides of the health insurance process as she has worked for individual providers and two large leading health insurance companies. Kristyn worked in both dedicated benefit and claims units at Blue Cross Blue Shield and in provider units researching rejected claims at another leading large commercial insurance company so she understands the full process behind claims and benefits processing. This unique perspective allows her to understand the legal restraints and road blocks that insurance companies present and the methods of which to by pass them in a legal and compliant manner. Kristyn has experience handling several large Commercial and Medicare payer audits and chart auditing cases when hundreds of thousands of dollars are on the line. She has an extensive knowledge on ICD 9, ICD 10, CPT, HCPCS, Medical Policy, NCDs, LCDs, Medical Billing, Reimbursement, Collections, and medical compliance guidelines. Kristyn also teaches health care adminstration and medical coding at the local college in the Nursing program. With an eagerness to learn and a vivacious attitude towards all things health care related, she is well versed and completely comfortable in the ever-changing world of healthcare.
